Recently, the first domestic 110,000-ton new dual-fuel power tanker was successfully signed and delivered, creating a domestic precedent for mooring of this magnitude. Xinglun Rope is honored to be selected to provide exclusive mooring solutions and rope products for the tanker.
In the context of the current "carbon peak, carbon neutral" target, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the main choice for the best alternative fuel at this stage. The 110,000-ton dual-fuel power tanker delivered this time is powered by LNG fuel and traditional fuel oil, with a gas cruising range of 16,000 nautical miles. In the LNG fuel mode, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by about 20%; under the same speed conditions, the fuel consumption can be reduced by 8% compared with the same type of products.
The ship is 249.9 meters long, 44 meters wide, 21.3 meters deep, and has a design draft of 13.5 meters. Xinglun Rope has customized an exclusive mooring scheme for this tanker, using a combination of mooring tail, UHMWPE rope and steel wire rope to reduce the load on the mooring system. The XLROPE-CHNFLEX® mooring tail used by the tanker is independently designed and developed by Xinglun Rope, which has excellent buffering effect, flexural stiffness property, fatigue resistance and residual strength higher than that of the parallel core structure. The combination of steel wire ropes provides a more solid guarantee for the mooring of this new type of tanker.
At the same time, Xinglun Rope also equipped the new tanker with towing lines and auxiliary ropes - CHNMIX®. As a representative of XLROPE's high-strength mixed rope, the ultra-light weight makes it easier and safer to handle.
